Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ cups cake mix
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • White chocolate for decorating
  • Red sugar for decorating

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, egg, oil, and vanilla extract. Stir until a soft dough forms.
  • If the dough is too sticky to handle, add a small amount of flour and knead lightly until manageable.
  • On a lightly floured surface, pat or roll out the dough to your desired thickness.
  • Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes from the dough. Arrange the shapes on a lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow the cookies to cool completely before decorating with melted white chocolate and a sprinkle of red sugar.

Notes

For variation, try using pink or rainbow sugar for decoration.
